Five community internship students started with the Sisters project in July 2019 for Trimester two. Three students were Bachelor’s students and two Masters. They ranged from Human Resource Management to finance to business to criminology to Forensic. Being the first group of internship students, at first we were all unsure about how it will progress. However, by week two students were all involved in various different activities and it seemed like they had been there for a long time. They were all involved in different aspects of training and were amazing with the Sisters.
Our Sisters enjoyed their interaction with the students. Overall, students took initiative and were always happy to go above and beyond their normal Internship roles. A couple are even happy to work with us voluntarily.
Students mentioned how the experience had been so enriching and meeting the Sisters and helping them made it so meaningful.
Our team have thoroughly enjoyed working with the interns.
